EUREKA - the miracles of science - i.e. by play to knowledge
Dom Marynarza (Seeman's Home), ul. Malczewskiego
The largest interactive exhibition in Poland (more than 50 experiments)

Are you used that in the exhibitions you are not allowed to touch anything? Here this is not the case. Only those of you who participate actively in experiments enjoy and experience a lot of emotions.

The purpose of the exhibition is to focus your attention on things that you cannot see in your real life, but they exist. It shows that the most simple, natural phenomena look like something from another world, from a magic world.

In the exhibition among other things you will see:
- dynamic, colourful Sun with the diameter of 2.5 meters,
- a ball flying in the air,
- a beam of light making a pin-mill to rotate,
- things that you can see but you cannot touch them,
- moving paper spiders,
- colourful shadows,
- endless tunnel,
- a desk on which writting is not easy,
- air telephone,
- threedimensional images,
- mini lightnings,
- water top,
- geometrical and optical illusions,
- ...

The exhibition can be regarded as a scientific fun fair, where by playing and active participating in experiments one can learn and experience a lot. Some of the experiments have been donated to us by an owner of the similar exhibition ''Phaenomenta'' ( in Peenemuende in Germany - Mr Rudolf Seifert. All others experiments have been manufactured in Mathematics and Physics Faculty of the University of Szczecin. So far the experiments concern mostly physics. In future we plan also to extend the exhibition to chemistry, biology, medicine, etc. We also encourage schools to participate in manufacturing new experiments.

There are short descriptions attached to all experiments. They are composed of two parts. In the first part a visitor is asked to do some activity. While in the second part the physical phenomenon is explained in an elementary way. All descriptions are collected in a small booklet. A student of physics who is always present at the exhibition can explain the experiments in more detail. The exhibition is designed to be intresting and attractive for all people independently of the education level and of the age.

The motto of the exhibition:
The only criterion of the theory to be correct is an experimentAlbert Einstein

There also exist branches of the exhibition in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Kołobrzeg (until the end of September) and in Bydgoszcz.
